The Rijeka School of Croatian Studies promotes the knowledge of Croatian language, literature and culture internationally, develops modern methods of teaching Croatian as a second or foreign language, promotes mobility and organises assessment of Croatian as a second or foreign language. Our goals also include development and creation of standardised testing and teaching materials, organisation of scientific and professional conferences, as well as professional, translation and teaching projects that promote the Croatian language, literature and culture abroad. The School cooperates with other national and foreign institutions that have the same goals, with instructors  of Croatian in foreign universities and scientific institutions, and with scientists in Croatia and abroad, and it also establishes connections with Croatian emigrants.

Rijeka School of Croatian Studies is not involved in issuing visas to foreign nationals and is not authorized to issue warranty certificates.
